We accept on-site volunteers 12 years and older. Volunteers under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone under 18 needs to have a parent or guardian sign the waiver at the bottom of this page.

Book Sorter - Volunteers sort donated books by condition and type. Volunteers may also sticker books and assist with the counting of books

Lifter - Volunteers will assist with moving books, mostly in boxes that may weigh up to 30 lbs

Events - Volunteers at book giveaway evenings, other events at book bank and events in the community

Photographer

Driver - Volunteers to transport donated books to and from the book bank

Coordinate Book Drives in the community through schools, neighborhoods, corporations, clubs, teams or any other organization

VOLUNTEER WAIVER, RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT

I have agreed to serve as a volunteer for 2^nd & 7 located at 7949 N. High Street, Ste. B, Columbus, Ohio, 43235, and I recognize that my volunteer participation is a privilege afforded to me by 2^nd & 7. I fully understand, appreciate and assume all the risks associated with my volunteer duties. In exchange for my participation, I hereby agree to the following:

I voluntarily waive, release and hold harmless 2^nd & 7, its Board of Directors, officers, employees, representatives, agents, successors and assigns, members, administrators, attorneys, shareholders, managers, and other volunteers from any and all claims, counterclaims, lawsuits, causes of action, liabilities, controversies, damages, actions, causes of action, suits, claims for contribution or indemnification and damages for bodily injury or death that I may suffer as a result of, or in any manner connected with, directly or indirectly, my participation as a 2^nd & 7 volunteer in any manner connected with, directly or indirectly, my participation as a 2^nd & 7 volunteer. I understand that this waiver and release precludes my right to recovery of damages in the event I am injured while performing my volunteer duties whether on site, off site, or during transportation to and from 2^nd & 7 or any other event location.
I shall defend, hold harmless and indemnify 2^nd & 7, its Board of Directors, officers, employees, representatives, agents, successors and assigns, members, administrators, attorneys, shareholders, managers, and other volunteers, from and against all damages, claims, liabilities, causes of action, judgments, settlements, costs and expenses (including but not limited to, reasonable expert witnesses and attorney fees) that may at any time arise or be claimed by any person as a result of bodily injury, death or property damage, or as a result of any other claim or cause of action of any nature whatsoever, arising from or in any manner connected with, directly or indirectly, my volunteer duties whether on site, off site, and during the transportation to and from 2^nd & 7 or any other event location.
I have not been accused of, charged with or convicted of any of the following: criminal activities, abuse or molestation of any child or minor.
Photographic Release: I grant and convey unto 2^nd & 7 all right, title, and interest in any and all photographic images and video or audio recordings made by 2^nd & 7 during my volunteering including, but not limited to, any royalties, proceeds, or other benefits derived from such photographs or recordings.
I am of sound mind and of full legal capacity to sign this agreement. I have entered into this agreement voluntarily and not as a result of coercion, duress or undue influence.

I have read, fully understand and agree to the assumption of risk, waiver, release, hold harmless and indemnification terms set forth above. I consent to receiving emails from 2^nd & 7. (Must be signed by a parent or guardian if the volunteer is under 18.)
